The Shipwrights Arms places an emphasis on traditional English pub food and real ales from Kent.  It has log fires in winter.  It is recognised by pub connoisseur Alastair Sawday in his Pubs and Inns of England and Wales as part of his "Special Places" series.  You'll also find it in the AA Pub Guide and The Good Beer Guide.

Faversham is steeped in history and was an important port in the Middle Ages. The riverside walk takes you over the marshes and then passes Davington Priory which was built in 1153 and remains an imposing presence.

This is one of a number of excellent walking leaflets created by Kent County Council.

As this route features a choice of pubs, the same route is listed under each pub named below. When adding a review please go to the entry for the pub that you visited and "write a review" there.
