The Albion Tavern has a commanding view over Faversham Creek which this circular walk follows much of the way. It features in The Good Pub Guide and in the AA Pub Guide.
The Albion Tavern is owned by the oldest brewery in Britain, Shepherd Neame, which stands across the other side of Faversham Creek. Its location is just one of the reasons it has found its way into bothThe Good Pub Guide and the AA Pub Guide.
Faversham is steeped in history and was an important port in the Middle Ages. The riverside walk takes you along the creek, over the marshes and then passes Davington Priory which was built in 1153 and remains an imposing presence.
This is one of a number of excellent walking leaflets created by Kent County Council.
As this route features a choice of pubs, the same route is listed under each pub named below. When adding a review please go to the entry for the pub that you visited and "write a review" there.
