The River Wyre Hotel was built in 1896 and is thought to be one of only a few pubs in the country named after a River. It is close to Skippool Creek which was used as a port and landing post before the development of Fleetwood. This area also has a history of smuggling.
The pub has recently been renovated to uncover some of its many layers of history and now serves British food and beers all day every day.
