1. Prizes giving free access to all the pub walks after a competition closes will be in the form of a gift certificate giving a year's membership of MyFavouritePubWalks.com (currently worth £17). There is no cash alternative to any prize and prizes are limited to one per person. Prizes may be substituted by other items of similar value at the discretion of MyFavouritePubWalks.com. MyFavouritePubWalks.com is not responsible for any additional prizes that may be offered by Participating Pubs which will allocate and distribute the prizes themselves.

2. All those wishing to enter a pub walk into a competition must first register as a new user and then either add a pub walk directly to the MyFavouritePubWalks.com database if access to the secure area of the site has been granted or email their pub walk file in a Microsoft Word format or similar to leigh(at)myfavouritepubwalks.com. Either of these methods is acceptable and only pub walks entered by Contributors in one of these ways will be eligible for competitions. The closing date for entering pub walks for a competition will shown on the pub's profile page. MyFavouritePubWalks.com will endeavour to upload all pub walks promptly into the database that are submitted in this format by this date but cannot be held responsible if delays reduce or remove the period that any pub walk is available online to receive votes.

3. Anyone who has registered as a Contributor may enter as many pub walks into competitions as they like but each has to relate to a different pub. Each entry will qualify the contributor for a gift certificate redeemable for a year's membership. Gift certificates may be transferred to someone else in the normal way.

4. Anyone wishing to be a "Voter" in a competition can obtain free downloads of any pub walks included in that competition until the closing date for voting.

5. Any establishment registering itself as a "Participating Pub" may operate a local competition with additional local prizes to encourage its customers to submit their own favourite pub walks for that establishment. Contributors of those walks will be eligible for the same prizes and giveaways as other Contributors to the MyFavouritePubWalks.com database.

6. Votes can be cast using the 5-star rating system by clicking "write a review" while viewing a pub walk in the database. Voters can only rate and/or comment on pub walks they have downloaded and tried. If any Voter appears to be abusing the rating system then the votes and/or comments may be removed at the discretion of MyFavouritePubWalks.com.

7. The pub walks will be judged on a number of factors including but not necessarily limited to the 5-star ratings and feedback provided by Voters. Consideration will be given to both the pub and the walk. Judging will take place by MyFavouritePubWalks.com and any associates or sponsors that it may nominate for this purpose. The decision of the judges will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. The names of winners will be shown on MyFavouritePubWalks.com.

8. The accuracy of the information regarding any pub walk is the sole responsibility of the Contributor or person who submits the walk to this competition and no responsibility is accepted by MyFavouritePubWalks.com or its associates or competition sponsors for any of the content of pub walks nor for any injury or loss that may result from the pub walks being undertaken. Any comments made by Voters using the 5-star rating and review system are the sole responsibility of the Voter who made them and no responsibility is accepted by MyFavouritePubWalks.com or its associates or competition sponsors for any of these comments. By granting an establishment the status of "Participating Pub", MyFavouritePubWalks.com merely facilitates the pub in identifying its own pub walks and promoting its business to the walking community and no responsibility is accepted by MyFavouritePubWalks.com or its associates or competition sponsors for any activities undertaken by or comments made by any such establishment. Furthermore, MyFavouritePubWalks.com reserves the right to remove at its sole discretion any pub walk or review or "Participating Pub" status that is brought to its attention where it considers the spirit of a competition has been abused or that matters are unreasonable, objectionable, unsafe or otherwise unsuitable.

9. Contributors own the copyright of their pub walks but they also agree to grant MyFavouritePubWalks.com a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive, sublicenseable right and license to use the work in any way that helps to promote either the pub walk or the purposes of MyFavouritePubWalks.com or both. Contributors also agree that editorial revisions to the walk may be made by MyFavouritePubWalks.com before or after publication on the site. By submitting a pub walk, the Contributor warrants that the words, maps and pictures are entirely their own work and have not been copied from another source unless the Contributor owns the rights to do so. Contributors also agree to indemnify MyFavouritePubWalks.com against all legal fees, damages and other expenses that may be incurred by MyFavouritePubWalks.com as a result of their breach of the above warranty.

10. Anyone loading pub walks, voting for pub walks or becoming a participating pub in relation to this competition are automatically deemed to have read, understood and accepted these competition rules in addition to the site's Terms and Conditions.
