The Face of British Pie Week 2009

There can be no doubt that pubs are the true home of the humble British Pie. Appearing on every self-respecting pub menu, this traditional dish has a loyal following and the votes have recently been cast for the best pie-maker in Britain.
The winner is Ashley Robins, Head Chef at The Keystone, Guildford who earns the title of the Face of British Pie Week 2009 for his mouth-watering Legendary Game Pie made, as you would expect, from locally-sourced ingredients. It is certainly legendary now!
And what's more, you can even download a Keystone pub walk right now that leads you straight to this pie-maker's door... so you can try it for yourself! There is more to The Keystone than just pies too as they feature in both The Good Beer Guide and the AA Pub Guide. They tell us walkers are welcome and they don't mind those muddy boots (although dogs have to stay on the patio).
